The 5-day course is structured to allow participants, who have previously attended and completed the Investigative Locksmithing - Automotive Forensic Case Management & Procedures, to develop an understanding of the procedures in crime scene analysis and gathering of evidence. As part of the course, participants will be eligible to sit the Certified Forensic Locksmith (CFL) examination.
COURSE OUTLINE
DAY 1
- Inline pin tumbler cylinder manipulation and bypass methods.
- Familiarisation with popular cylinder types and covert and forceful circumvention techniques. Each participant will have hands-on experience with cylinder manipulation (i.e.picking) methods and examination processes.
DAY 2 & 3
- Case examples: work through recent matters, from initial instructions to crime scene analysis, laboratory procedures, compiling findings and production of illustrated Court Compliant reports and final litigation results.
DAY 4
- Course revision to date and practical application of forensic case management and crime scene procedures.
DAY 5
- CFL examination day - instructors will supervise participants sitting the written Certified Forensic Locksmith (CFL) examination.
